Naming a shoe the Choad and dramatically reducing the Swoosh branding were just two factors that have kept this shoe in the conversation when discussing Nike’s history with skateboarding. With cord lacing being so prevalent in mid-‘90s shoe design, the Choad’s approach was in sync and its key design aesthetic used bulk as a benefit.
