Legends are built differently from the beginning. In 1982, Nike introduced the first basketball shoe with Air Sole technology. Initially released as a high-top with a signature ankle strap designed for the courts. Reengineered for skateboarding, the Nike SB AF-1 combines the spirit of innovation and performance in a lighter silhouette with a focus on boardfeel. Honoring the AF-1’s minimalist aesthetics, the Nike SB AF-1 reconstructs the low top iteration for a trusted fit that sits low and stays classic.
Maintaining the heightened midsole, the lowered footbed and half-length midsole allows closer contact and crucial forefoot flexibility. Memory foam collar pills and Air Max cushioning create a locked-in fit, working in tandem with the reinforced padded tongue and internal straps. In front, the toe profile and stitch-turned seams activate flick and crucial control. A minimalist colorway completes the refresh using a full Light Orewood suede upper, pink backtab accent, custom dubraes, and grippy gum rubber tread.
