Back in the day, Lance Mountain skated the handball court at Richmond Playground just south of the Presidio in San Francisco in one of the most legendary parts of an iconic Powell Peralta video. The Richmond Park AJ1 pays homage to Lance’s unbeatable style and the vintage designs of the handball court at the Richmond Playground.
Using the same colors of Lance’s mismatched AJ1s (Royal Blue and Black and Carolina Powder Blue and White, respectively) and a khaki chino material overlay that tears away as you skate them combined with a sockliner inspired by the retro handball court design, the Richmond Playground AJ1 Lows are a nod to Lance’s part in a video that made skate history.
