Lance Mountain’s Nike SB Blazer Mid packs a lot of skate history and numerology into its design while telling a greater story of his career in tandem. Lance is unique in that he can pull from so many eras of skating, so he drilled back to 1978 when he first saw the Blazer being skated by the luminaries he looked up to in the backyard pools of Southern California, truncating that to 78 and 17 on the other tiled heel detail for the year of its release. The prismatic Swoosh and it’s gradient fade speaks to the graffiti and vibrant colors associated with pool skating’s renegade roots.
